Maddie's 9 month portraits

Maddie is such a beautiful baby girl, even when she is short on smiles. We've had to reschedule this session twice already due to weather related circumstances. Today it ended up being during nap time so her biggest smiles were when she was not being photographed of course. But her big sister Ally was happy filling in... here are some highlights from today's session:

Dance Competition

I visited a world dance competition last weekend to catch a few shots of my sister dancing. She took Gold in all of the dances she danced in on Friday. I was so proud of her. When I started shooting, I didn't realize that they had hired an "exclusive" photographer for the event. The bright side to that is that I didn't take a thousand pictures like I totally would have. Instead I got just under 200 within just minutes. Anyway, she was beautiful and did such a great job. Maybe she can post a comment to tell you the dance studio if you're interested in having professional lessons.. they were fabulous to watch!

The Hartman Families

Since all of the kids were together for the holidays, they invited me to come take a few family pictures to memorialize it. We didn't get to do as much as I'd hoped since the little kids had a very very short span of time before having meltdowns or going wild. But we got some... here are a few highlights:

I also wanted to show one of the edits I made from start to finish. First you'll see the original in unedited form. Then I finish the walls and add a nicer floor, and then I swap one of the heads for a better expression (per request of the family.)  Another reason you hire a professional photographer for your photos.
