Congratulations to Tracy!

Tracy was the winner of the March giveaway. She won a $40 gift certificate to be used toward a session. Tracy is a busy mom of three with some special challenges with her youngest. According to the workmate who nominated her, Tracy is an incredible individual, great to work with, and easy to talk to. Because of their circumstances, it has been too difficult to get a family picture up until now, so hopefully I will be able to change that for them soon! With a relaxed, no pressure, fun session - we should be able to get some good lasting memories for this family.  Congratulations Tracy!!

That is one advantage I have over many studios. I don't rush you through your session.. so if your child needs a snack, catnap, cuddle time, or just a break to regroup - it is possible. I just go with the flow. I'm not sure that I have had any children with autism in the studio yet, but I have offered my services to another client who organizes activities for families with autistic children and their siblings through Vanderbilt. I am hoping one day to set up a simple backdrop possibly at one of those events and let any of the families or children come together and have fun pictures taken while they are there for their outing. My customer said that it literally takes hours for some of these families to get out of the house because the child takes so long to get ready - so I can only imagine how difficult it is for them to schedule a portrait session somewhere. So if I'm already set up in this location that they come to - they can get there whenever they get there, and feel no pressure about it. I hope it works out. Of course, there are many forms and degrees of autism - but I'm up for the challenge and Tracy's family might be a good introduction for me. I am sure I'll have fun regardless!
